NashMicro: "Qt5 + C++11" with Matthew Eshleman
RSVP for this event: http://www.meetup.com/NashMicro/events/212641762/
Qt5 is an amazing graphical UI framework that can be used with devices of any size. Matthew will introduce us to Qt5 and show us how he uses it with C++ v11 features to be more productive in developing embedded applications. He'll teach us about:
- Signals -> Slots
- Vectors, Dictionaries, (oh my!)
- Memory Management
He'll also give examples of performance gains that can be achieved. This should be a great presentation!
Matthew Eshleman has been leading, architecting, and coding software for embedded systems for nearly 15 years. During this time he has helped launch targets with as little as 4 KB of RAM on an 8 bit micro, to multicore SoC (System on a chip) targets with many hundreds of megabytes of RAM and FLASH. Most recently Matthew has been working on the Zynq platform, processing millions of floating point samples per second, while visualizing the data with Qt5 running on embedded Linux.
We'll begin the meeting as always with show & tell. So, bring what you've been working on and tell everyone about it.
Need help with your project? Bring it and ask for help.
Food & drinks will be served at 6PM thanks to Synergy Systems. Show & Tell and the presentation will start no later than 6:30.
Come join the fun and invite your friends!
