GirlGeekDinner Code & Pinot:: Learning New Programming Languages sponsored By Leankit
Leankit is thrilled to welcome you Wednesday, September 21, 2016, 6:00 PM to a unique perspective on problem-solving and learning your second or third programming language.
One of the most daunting tasks when beginning a career in programming can be the sheer number of languages and toolsets to learn. While it is typically hard to separate learning the syntax from learning the code, programming languages are built on the same fundamentals - control structures, data types, operators, etc. etc. The goal for our workshop is to differentiate executable code and logic from syntax. This can make it easier to learn programming languages and alleviate the fear that comes with the following statements: "I only know to program in xyz, I cant do abc." "There are so many programming languages, which one do I learn?" "How can I possible learn enough to be qualified for a job?"
