Meet Jennifer Randles

500 Interstate Blvd S
Nashville, TN 37210 (map)

• What we'll do Jennifer Randles is the Digital Materials Librarian at the Tennessee State Library and Archives. She manages the digital collections of the state's historic documents, and provides guidance and best practices for digital preservation. She leads the Digital Work Group at TSLA, a team that provides digitization services and expertise to the public as well.

She will be discussing the workflow process for digitizing and describing historical materials, the challenges of working with this type of data, institutional challenges within such a large organization with legacy systems, along with taking your questions.

Jennifer holds a Master of Science in Information Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her prior experience includes working with metadata and digital content at Scripps Networks Interactive, supervising the multimedia production lab at the University of Tennessee Libraries, and digitizing audiovisual collections at the Tennessee Archive of Moving Image and Sound. Please bring your questions, there will be plenty of time for discussion.
