NashMicro: Distributed Robots with Erlang & Elixir

Emma's Bistro Cafe
11 Lea Ave
Nashville, TN 37210, US (map)

PLEASE RSVP at: https://plus.google.com/events/c9n8viu8dbr6075g0hpssfufplc

We'll begin the meeting as always with show & tell. So, bring what you've been working on and tell everyone about it. If you're stuck and need help, bring it and let's see if we can figure it out. If you built something at Hack Day or maybe have finished up something you started at Hack Day, then bring it and show everyone what they missed.

Then for the main event, Josh Adams and Robby Clements are traveling up from Rocket Town USA (aka Huntsville, AL) to show us their experiments in using Erlang & Elixir to control distributed robots. They'll start off with a survey of robotics in Erlang & Elixir and then dive into some specific, fun projects such as: - Controlling a Sphero - Controlling a Parrot AR Drone - Using JInterface on Android to control GPIO on the Raspberry Pi via Erlang distribution

This is surely a presentation you do not want to miss!

Food & drinks will be served at 6PM thanks to Synergy Systems. Show & Tell and the presentation will start no later than 6:30.

Need help with your project? Bring it and we'll help you out after the presentation.

Come join the fun and invite your friends!
