AES Panel on Audio Software Development

The Belmont Audio Engineering Society (AES) student chapter is hosting an industry panel on audio software development in Nashville. This event is open to the public and members of the Nashville Music Programmers are welcome. Our regular meeting for the month of April will still be occurring on April 17th.

Three members of the Nashville Music Programmers will participate on the panel.

Ben Loftis is the lead programmer at Harrison, and is responsible for the development of the Mixbus DAW. This software models Harrison’s large format hardware consoles inside a modern digital audio workstation.

Paul Shearer is the founder of Noisefirm. His company has released a wide range of virtual instruments including digital synthesizers as well as drum and percussion sample libraries for Native Instruments’ Kontakt.

Corey Rice is a freelance developer specializing in mobile apps and web design. He is also the organizer of the Nashville Music Hackathon.

Bring your questions on creating mobile apps, virtual instruments, and DAWs.
